Vonhellas Kennels was established in the mid 80s for the love of the Dobermann. I first encountered the Dobermann while working in a mining compond in Greece. When shift work was finished I was in charge of security for the premises which entailed Dobermanns - supplied by the owner - to be let loose around the grounds. The owner assured me that the loyalty of the Dobermann was greater than anything he had encountered and this is what formed my love for the Dobermann breed.

Vonhellas Kennels is selective in its breeding program. Our aim is to maintain and improve our Dobermanns to the current breed standard and most importantly, improve it's working abilities.

Vonhellas Kennels is proud of the strong association we had with Meinemann Dobermanns, (Queensland) owned by the late Andrew Klencke .

The Vonhellas and Meinemann partnership combined our extensive knowledge in the specific breeding pool of the European working Dobermann and with this comprehensive knowledge we worked together to improve (by further imports from Europe) even further the working abilities of our dobermanns.

Improving the physical constitution and health of the Vonhellas-bred Dobermann is imperative. To achieve our aim we imported several Dobermanns from Holland, Belgium and Germany.

We are utilizing the offspring of these European pure working bloodlines for our foundation stock. These selected working lines are purposely sought in breeding for many generations, their achievements so wonderfully stated in their pedigree papers.

Vonhellas is also proud to announce further imports planned for the future from German (Schutzhund police) lines, Belgium, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Ultimately the offspring will almost guarantee the "fool proof" working abilities in our Vonhellas and Meinemann Dobermann lines.

Through Andrew, many dogs and bitches became champions based on stock from his careful breeding. We will always be grateful to Andrew for his help and guidance over many years.
